Starter #2- "The demon of intemperance (excessive use of alcohol) ever seems to have delighted in sucking the blood of genius and of generosity. What one of us but can call to mind some relative more promising in youth than all his fellows, who has fallen a sacrifice to his rapacity (greed)."

-Abraham Lincoln

Today we finished reading our alcohol disclosures which discussed how alcohol has affected each of our lives. We also discussed a handout covering ways to say no to alcohol, peer pressure, the affects of alcohol, and basic alcohol facts.

Wednesday February 17, 2010 P.E.

We just finished our basketball unit and we are starting into our games unit in P.E. Yesterday we began with kickball.

Parents: if your student misses a day in P.E., please make sure they make it up by either writing a two hundred word essay on any fitness related activity, or keep a fitness log. The following is a brief overview of how to keep a fitness log. For every day a student misses of P.E., they must complete 20 minutes of exercise at home, write it down, get a parent signature, and then return it to me.
